Store, Membership Dues & Event Refund Policy

1. Membership Dues

  • 1.1 Non-Refundable Status: Membership dues support the ongoing educational, historical, publishing, and administrative operations of the Society. Once processed, annual or multi-year membership dues are non-refundable.
  • 1.2 Membership Transferability: Memberships are non-transferable between individuals or households except in specific cases of administrative error or surviving spouse adjustments.

2. CCSNA Store Merchandise (Physical Goods)

  • 2.1 Returns & Exchanges: Physical items purchased through the CCSNA Online Store (e.g., books, crest pins, apparel, journal back-issues, or tartan goods) may be returned for a replacement or full refund within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is unused, undamaged, and in its original condition.
  • 2.2 Return Shipping: The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to a defect, shipping damage, or an error made by CCSNA.
  • 2.3 Custom or Special-Order Items: Custom-engraved items, tailored tartan goods, or print-on-demand items are non-refundable unless damaged or defective upon arrival.

3. AGM Registration & Event Tickets

  • 3.1 Annual General Meeting (AGM) Cancellations:
    • Written cancellation requests received more than 30 days prior to the official start date of the AGM are eligible for a full refund of registration and banquet ticket fees (less any unrecoverable third-party transaction fees).
    • Cancellations received between 14 and 30 days prior to the event are eligible for a 50% refund.
    • Cancellations received fewer than 14 days prior to the event are non-refundable due to vendor, hotel catering, and room guarantees already executed by the Society.
  • 3.2 Extenuating Circumstances: Refund requests arising from medical emergencies or severe personal hardship inside the 14-day window may be submitted to the AGM Host Committee or Board for special consideration.
  • 3.3 Event Cancellations by CCSNA: If an event or AGM is canceled by the Society, registrants will receive a full 100% refund of all paid registration fees.

Membership is open to all Campbells, Campbell septs, those married to a Campbell or Campbell Sept, those descended from Clan Campbell, and to those interested in learning about the Clan Campbell, Scottish history and culture, and who acknowledge Mac Cailein Mòr as their Clan Chief, as he is the Chief of Clan Campbell, the greatest family in all of Scotland! (We're a "wee bit" biased.)
