Married:  (1) Before 26 Mar 1529 Lady Helen Hamilton, 1st dau. of James Hamilton, 1st Earl of Arran, by his second wife Janet Livingston, widow of Sir Robert Livingston of Easter Wemyss and dau. of Sir David Bethune of Creich, Comptroller of Scotland

Only child by first wife:

1. Hon Archibald Campbell, later 5th Earl of Argyll

Married:  (2) 21 Apr 1541 Lady Margaret Graham, 1st dau. of William Graham, 3rd Earl of Menteith, by his wife Margaret Cornwall, widow of John Cornwall of Bonhard, and dau. of John Moubray of Barnbougle

Children: By second wife

2. Hon Colin Campbell, later 6th Earl of Argyll
1. Lady Margaret Campbell (d. after 7 Feb 1591/2), Married:  11 Jan 1563/4 James Stewart, 1st Lord Doune, and had issue
2. Lady Janet Campbell, Married:  1557 Hector Og ("the Younger") Maclean of Dowart, and had issue

Married:  (3) Before 23 Jan 1546 his third cousin Catharine Maclean (Married:  (2) Calvagh O'Donnell, de jure Earl of Tyrconnell;  Married:  (3) bef. 6 Apr 1575 John Stewart of Appin), dau. by his first wife of Lachlan Cattanach Maclean of Dowart

Died: 2 Dec 1558
