Married:  (1) 14 Oct 1551 his second cousin Hon Janet Stewart (dsp.), 1st dau. of Henry Stewart, 1st Lord Methven, by his second wife Lady Janet Gordon (widow of Hon Alexander Gordon, Master of Sutherland, 1st son and heir ap. of Lady Elizabeth Sutherland, suo jure Countess of Sutherland, by her husband and second cousin Adam Gordon of Aboyne, later jure uxoris Earl of Sutherland, 2nd son of George Gordon, 2nd Earl of Huntly, by his second wife the Princess Annabella, 6th dau. of James I, King of Scotland), 1st dau. of John Stewart, 2nd Earl of Atholl, by his wife Lady Mary Campbell, 3rd dau. of Archibald Campbell, 2nd Earl of Argyll

Married:  (2) bef. 26 Feb 1571/2 Lady Agnes Stewart (widow of James Stewart, 1st Earl of Moray, Regent of Scotland;  d. 16 Jul 1588), 1st dau. of William Keith, 3rd Earl Marischal, by his wife Margaret Keith, dau. and cohrss. of William Keith, Yr. of Inverurie

2. Hon Colin Campbell of Lundie, Married:  after 26 Jun 1599 Mary Graham (widow of John Graham, 6th Earl of Menteith; d. after 14 Dec 1618), 3rd dau. of Sir Colin Campbell of Glenorchy by his second wife Hon Catherine Ruthven, 2nd dau. of William Ruthven, 2nd Lord Ruthven, and had issue
