I have recently sent in my application for membership in Clan Campbell. As I read the liturature I received I found that Clan Campbell only recognizes three of four tartans for wear. My family, Burns, has it's own tartan. Is this acceptable for my use for a kilt and accesories?

Great site! I am a journalist/instructor who, recently attended the Scottish Festival In Fergus, Ontario. I am researching my ancestry. I found out I belong to the Campbell clan but, my surname was Gibson, from my birth mother's side. I am then a sept. of Campbell. Cool! Still searching for the Gibsons living in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada in the 1960's. I was adopted as a baby by the Catholic Children's Aid. Need to contact my roots for many reasons. Any info would help. Please send to my e-mail: zeppelin@sprint.ca. I was born on August 11, 1962 and have a family of my own now. I have faith this will reach the right person. God bless. My name was Lynn Frances Gibson. P.S. There are angels among us!

The person I care most about in the world is a Campbell and very interested in his ancestory. Soon his birthday will be coming up and nothing would make him happier than to have a constant contact with this society. Could you please send me some information concerning membership or anything else that would be helpful. He lives in Illinois; if there are any members in that state or a active membership in that state let me know about that also. Thanks, Trisha Hill

I am looking for other decendent of CATHERINE ROGAN and JAMES NICHOLSON. My grandmother and I am trying to get there information. We know that they had 9 kids, Jannett, Mary, William, Agnes, Charlotte, James, John, Grace, and Charles. We also know that they cam from Scotland, are from the CAMPBELL clan and sttled in Middletown California. We don't know much more about them or their family in Scotland though, or even very much about their children. We do have a few Birth dates and marriage dates. We also have some information about the child we came from, that is Charlotte. We have info about her from about 1869 to the present. If any of you have any information I would love to hear from you.
