I just found Jean Crawford listed in your Campbell Clan.
she was married to Daniel Campbell in MO. about 1858 or so. Any information about Daniel would be helpful. Jean was widowed about 1858 and moved to California with the Campbell children. I know about the Crawfords in Ca. but know very little about Daniel. I believe he was part owner of a coal mine and he and his partener had a difference of opinion!! I know that Daniel was born in Ireland. Daniel and Jean Campbell were my great grandparents. I am were excited to find any entries.

A second entry for me today! Forgive me bt apparently I thought
mentioning my Dad (Robert C. Campbell) would be helpful in
having some part of his family contact me.
For obvious reasons it is not...
I know my Pappy was from Mt Crawford VA with a cajillion
brothers and sisters and must have been born around 1910 or
soon thereafter. I know of one living nephew of Pappy's but
no one else...any takers?

Greetings from Clan Mac Diarmada. Do you have any information

Any information you might have on this matter would be much

I was here earlier and left an incorrect net address. The following information is an update from infromation I received in the mail today and am still awaiting more. My G. Grandfather was Joseph Campbell born in Scotland and was a memeber of the Black Guard as was his brother James Campbell. My G. Grandmother was Jane Campbell born in Ireland but of Scots decent. James fiance died before he and my grandparents immagrated to the USA and settled in Witoka/Winona, MN. Joseph Campbell had three children that I know of Archibald Everret Campbell and two daughters Edna and Florence who ran away from home while still in thier teens. My Grandfather was still a young child at that time we do not know what happened to them. This would have been arround the year 1920??
The Campbell family in Winona/Witoka MN is dying out and my mother and I would welcome any news of Family connections wether it be in Scotland or USA. We are trying our best to get our family tree and connections together as we have strong family feeling. Joseph, Jane & thier son Archhibald are burried in Winona MN at Woodlawn Cemetary. Please contact me if anyone has any news of further family connections, especially of Edna & Florence Campbell. Thank You! VERNIE40 @ Worldnet.att.com

I am related to the Campbell family on my mothers side. Her family is situated in Witoka, MN. I am trying to find out more about her side of the family, Archie Campbell was her father and passed away in November of 1958 he was 1st generation American. His fathers 1st name we believe to have been Joseph and his mothers name was Anna her surname being Campbell also. Joseph came from the highlands and Anna we believe to have come from the lowlands of Scotland.

I applied for membership in May at the games in Costa Mesa, CA. The forms and check are apparently misplaced along with applications for several ofhers. I hope this will be found soon otherwise I will reapply. My great grandmother was Janet Campbell, one of 14 children born to Alexander Barnet Campbell and Isabelle Dunlop Smith. Alexander was born in Logierait, Perthshire 1825. His parents were John Campbell and Ann Taylor. Alexander and Isabelle Campbell came to the USA in 1852 and settled first in Newburg Village, WI and later in Chicago. I am sure I have many Campbell cousins. Would love hearing from any.

Yes I am a Campbell and proud of it. My father John Sherd Campbell pasted away seven years ago. My grandfather Paul Albert Campbell living in Riggins, Idaho
pasted on in July of this year, 1997. My desire is to find out as much as possible about my heritage to past that
information onto my three sons, Michael James, Benjamin Caleb, and Alex Brandon.

I have recently become interested in my Campbell herigate. Unfortunately, most of my Campbell relatives are either deceased or too ill to communicate any history. My grandfather was named Joe B. Campbell and he died in the 1918 flu epidemic in Diboll, Texas. My grandmother remarried in 1921 and most contacts with Campbells were lost at that time. I am sure that there is somewhere to begin on this quest.

As I was reading other people's letters I noticed alot of Robert Campbell's.
Is that a traditional Campbell name?? Because my father's name is Robert Alexander Campbell.
And I know that the head of the Campbell's that lead the massacre at Glencoe was Robert Campbell, and the
second in line was Alexander Campbell.

My Grandmother's name is Jenny Campbell Turnbell Thorton from Newcastle.
She came to the US when she was 17. I went to school at The University of East Anglia in Norwich and visited Argyll Castle during my stay. For two years I had planned to go to Argyll. The biggest disappointment to me was that it was closed due to the filming of Highland Games. I hope to someday return and finally see the castle.
