I am visiting the site for the first time. It is very interesting. It will take me days to read all the entries in the guest book! My maternal grandfather was Alexander Campbell, born in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, No. Ireland. His father was also Alexander Campbell (all I know about the family). My grandfater emigrated to Boston around the turn of the century. If anyone has any information I'd love to correspond.

'DIT IS WEL BIJZONDER GAAF...' = this is great I've just printed out many pages, so I can read it easy. Yesterday, it was the first time at your url and I can tell you that it was suberb to see so much about the campbell's. Here, in Holland/the Netherlands there is only one campbell family and nobody knows that name. When they hear this name for the first time every- body will ask the same thing; 'can you spell it please,..' well, i'll be back many times for myself and to show it to others. Besides all ,the best compliments to those people who had the idea, the creating mind and the work out. greetings ronald campbell

I'm Stephen Roderick Campbell, first son of Donald Roderick Campbell (also a first son), both of us born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (1952 and 1925 respectively). My grand dad was Roderick Donald Campbell who came out to Alberta after WWI and joined the North West Mounted Police when he was a young man. According to my dad, his father's family lived on a farm around Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. One of his uncles, I think, worked on a clipper ship out there. Apparently part of my Grand dad's family moved down to Georgia around the turn of the century. That's about all I know, and would very much like to know more, if possible. I am pleased to see that so many of the Campbell Clan are living up to our motto: Never Forget! I'm looking forward to whatever help I can find in this virtual clan space in helping me reconstruct my family's past and to reconnect it with the present.

I'd also be especially interested in hearing from anyone who is the descendent of James Burns of Pike County Missouri(he was a contemporary of Daniel Boone and the first settler in Pike County Missouri. Greetings to all of you who share my heritage!! It's GREAT to see you all (or "y'all," as we say here in the Deep South) up and active. My dream is to have a traditional Scottish wedding, but I am completely IGNORANT to these customs. I would GREATLY appreciate those of you who are "educated" in this area sending me any information that you have about this(dress, ceremony, THE WORKS). This would aide significantly in completing my goal. Also, if you have any info regarding the life and origins of Daniel Campbell(1700s?; from the Isle of Sky?; I believe of the clan Campbell of Argyll). Please help. I wish to return to my roots. I recently married into a family that has many generations of "Campbell King"'s and a family farm that has always been known as Argyle. I appreciate any chance to learn more about the family's so that I may more accurately teach our daughter and her future siblings.

Colin Campbell is a family name. He served in a Tennessee Infantry Regiment in the War of 1812 and his son (Colin, Jr.) was in a Tennessee Brigade that served in the Mexican War. Both were from Sumner County, Tennessee. How is it possible to trace an orign back to Scotland?

They say Campbells are all over the world. Can't be? Im from Finland, living for the moment in the Filippines, and writing to an American www site about a clan in Scotland! My grand mothers grand mother was Ann Campbell, grand daughter of John Campbell of the Bank, the First Cashier of Royal Bank of Scottland (1700-1777??). Ann was maried with Niels Gustaf von Schoultz fromFinland. He was hanged as a rebell leader year 1830 at Fort Henry, Canada. Anyone knowing more details about that fellow? Mabuhai (being the filippino saying for 'stay alive')!

This is a wonderful site and I enjoy every visit, especially reading the Guestbook entries! If anyone has any information on a Russell (sp?) Campbell and/or family from in or near Nelson County, Virginia (perhaps the Lovingston area), please e-mail me. I am trying to trace my father's Campbell ancestry. My father was Frederick McKay Campbell (b. 1942) and he had two older brothers, Gene Campbell and Calvin Campbell. Their father was Russell Campbell and their mother was Virginia Ruth Thompson who was later divorced from Russell Campbell and remarried. Thank you for your help.
