My Campbells came into Maryland from Scotland, via Ireland, in the late 1700s, heading directly for Western Pennsylvania. My paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Gertrude Campbell Dentzer, was so cheap, my grandfather said, "she invented the clutch purse." As soon as I get ahold of my own Campbell family history, I will head straight to your genealogical pages. Thanks for keeping all Campbells together!

I am new and inexperienced at tracking ancestors. The family tree was cut out of our 200+ yr old bible back during immigrant registration in Canada probably in the 1930's. As far back as I can get from family input is my Great Great Grandfather Daniel Campbell. He was married to Louisa Lumley (Traceable back to Lumley Castle I believe).
I am interested in joining the Clan and learning the Gael.
Feel free to email anytime---heck--we're family!!

Trying to find out information on My great grandfather Edwin Sumner McKeever who apparently was born in Scotland who had raised sheep and might be in the Campbell clan. He came to the USA and married my great grandmother charlotte Field Brooks. He may be an heir to george McKeever's legacy. he may have been born on February 18 1831. He becamea Captain in the US Navy around 1860's but died of pneumonia on February 20 or 24th 1869. Do you have any information on this. I would appreciate a reply. Thank you

Ansestors sailed from Greenock in 1775. Were in Gleenbarr at that time. Don't know what sept they in, can you help? I think since they were farmers in America, they probably were in Scotland also. Since this area was in Argylshire I think we must be close to the Campbell's.

I am researching my Father's Campbell line. They seem to have
emigrated from Ireland. Elizabeth Campbell, Mother - Esther.
daughter of George(?) Cambell. They settled up in New
Brunswick, Canada. Old family myth said Elizabeth's father
was the Duke of Argyle. I have proven that to be bunk. I
don't even know if I should be searching Scottish Campbell's.
Any Suggestions? Thank you very much!

am looking for my husband's Texas Campbells. They were here very early on. (early 1800's)
First in Texas Campbell on out line was from KY. According to census his wife was from FL.
His great grandmother would have
been Mary Elizabeth Campbell. She married Jesse Downing. Her siblings included Bill,
Jim, Liza and Sadie...this may or may not be completely correct. There could have been
other siblings. There was also supposed to have been some kind of Texas Land Grant.
But no one knows enough to be specific with me. Do you have any help?
