I am a senior in high school and one of my assignments is to find out about my heritage and a little about my last name. Well, I am glad to say that I found out A LOT and I only had to visit one site, and that was this site. This was a great help, although I doubt that this information was provided for high school students. Thanks!

Our family has enjoyed the CCSNA journal/magazine since first attending the Festival @ the South Flordia Games on Key Biscayne (Crandan Park), back in 1986-87 thru 1990, since then returned to Minnesota and have enjoyed the gathering @ Macalester College each yr. It is great to see all the people and enjoy a day of festivity, games and piping activity. My wife Jennifer and son Ian and I took a visit to Scotland, May 1995, Just beautiful, such good memorys of the countryside. Would recommend to everyone to go and relax, tour the beautiful country.

Just starting my search. Great-grand father came to Exeter, Ontario in the Late 1700's (died 1801) & died in Exeter. Have been able to trace up to there. No trace to where he came from or which branch of the Campbell's he's from. Will be coming to this site more often.

My cousin and i are researching our genealogy and looking for a Lineal descedant to the Campbell Clan. We have been able to go as far back as my great great great great great grandparents. They are William Campbell(born 1760-1820) and Nancy Ann (Anny) Campbell(Born 1762 death?)They had a son William Campbell Born in Virginia in 1794 and died in Letcher County Kentucky 6-22-1874. He was married 9-11-1815 to Elizabeth Cornett born 1795 and died 1865. They have a long list of children so i hope someone will be related through them and can e-mail me with some help. They are William B. born 1817, Woolery born 1818, Mary born 1823, Nancy born 1824, Rhoda born 1824 and died 1895, Martha "Patsy" (my GGG Grandma)born 1826 and died 1904, Sally born 1828, Lucinda "Lucy" 1829, Lewis born 1830, Elizabeth born 1832, Judah born 1836, and finally John born 1838. I am almost certain they lived in laurel County Kentucky. Thank you to any one who can help. Christina

I'll soon be sending in a membership application. My paternal grandmother's ancestry is traced to Robert Campbell and Isabel Duncan Campbell who left Scotland around 1741 and came to New York. According to family notes, he was a clan chief. Hope to soon find out more. Looking forward to joining. Sincerely, Susan Williamson

I have just sent in my application for membership to the CCSNA, so I don't know if I should be considered a current member or not. Anyway, I am a Campbell by way of my mother, Gloria Ruth Campbell, whose father was Kenneth Vincent Campbell, hence my interest in Clan Campbell. I have no information regarding my grandfather's family and would like to research my Campbell genealogy. My grandfather was married to Phyllis Norad and lived in Portland, Maine before moving to San Diego, CA. They had two children Gloria and Gordon. Anyone having info, please contact me at my e-mail address. Thank you

Looking for the better looking Campbells..The "Irish" Campbells (joke) "Campbells are sensitive". If you go to the Northwest and west of Ireland you'll find many Campbells inhabiting this area. Research on this Campbell branch says that an army of mercenary Campbells were paid to fight for the King of Tyrconnell (Donegal) around 1490. Supposedly many of these Campbells stayed in the west and settled there. If anyone else has any info on this please e-mail me. Thanks!

Just surfed into your site to see the picture of Kilchurn Castle where I used to play as a child. My family were from Barrachastalain in Glenorchy(Dalmally) and were associated with the McNabs who were the armourers of the Campbells of Kilchurn,at least thats what we were told as bairns growing up.One point though is that I see that you tell people that the pronunciation of Kilchurn is Killhern which is news to me,checking with my family they tell me that as far back as they can remember including some gaelic speakers it has always been pronounced the way it is spelled. From whence did you get your version.

I'm told that my grandfather, Hugh Campbell Burns' family, is of the Clan of Campbell. Apparently his father migrated from Scotland and settled in central Pennsyvania during the early 1900's. Further, I'm told that "we" are decendants of the famous composer Robert Burns. Can anyone provide further insights based on this information; fill in some of the holes, so-to-speak?
