1) Patrick Campbell is frequently referred to as Patrick of Stouk, which is in Cowal, around the corner from the holy loch.

2) are we to understand Ross as Rosneath? if not, where is it.

3) John Campbell of Ardkinglas's father, James (died 1591), was still alive. what the document is calling John is FIAR of Ardkinglas: ie, that he had the control over the estate to which his father still had title to.
